Chasing Seagulls

{April 30, 2009}   Prom Night

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I stole my prom dress. This reminded me of my prom and I thought it would make a nice story.

{April 19, 2009}   Shoplifting Sprees

When I was seventeen years old, I went through a phase where I stole shit. I never stole from people, just stores. And I was pretty damn good at it, if I do say so myself. I owe a lot of my booty to an old brown corduroy jacket I got at a yard sale for a dollar. I loved that jacket. It was a men’s suit jacket (it went with my grunge look at the time) so it was a little big on me and the sleeves covered most of my hands. Perfect for shopping…five-finger-style.

{April 17, 2009}   A Story

I want to tell a story. Most of my stories so far have been about Cancun. I will continue to give you lots of stories about Cancun because it was one of the most interesting experiences I’ve had. Before that, it was the Crackhouse. I’m not going to tell a Crackhouse story, though. I will fill you in later about the origin of the name and all that, but I’ve got another story to tell.

{April 17, 2009}   Sticky Situation

I got another Cancun story for you. It also involves being drunk, as do most of my Cancun stories. I was drunk almost every day for 2 years. Not a good way to live your life, but at the time, it was the only thing I had to keep me going.

{March 17, 2009}   Mexican Jail

Got a couple of stories for you.

About four or five years ago, I was living in Cancun, Mexico. If you’ve ever been there, you understand that the local past-time is drinking. And what a lot of the young tourists are most afraid of is ending up in a Mexican jail. There are such horror stories told that I thought that I would share my experiences.

{March 16, 2009}   Chasing Seagulls

When I was going to write the book of my life, I was going to name it Chasing Seagulls. Of course, as interesting as I think my life has been, I know that other people might not think it’s that big a deal. So writing up my experiences in a blog saves me the embarrassment of finding out that no one would be interested in my life, while still giving me the joy of putting it all down on…screen. Or whatever. Also, the people in my life have all heard these stories and are tired of me repeating them when I forget that…yeah, I told you this one. So, here goes.

{March 16, 2009}   No Holds Barred

I want to make something understood right now. I’m not going to hold anything back. I don’t know if other people really reveal everything about themselves in these things, or if it’s all just sugar-coated bullshit, but for my part, it’s the low-down, nitty-gritty. If I tell a story and I have to tell you about the drugs I was on, or the guy I was fucking, or some nasty shit that happens in real life, then that’s what’s going down. I haven’t had a pretty, Brady-Bunch, powdered-doughnut life. I’ve grown up on the dirty side. I spent twelve years on drugs, so that’s definitely going to be an influencing factor. I’ve made a lot of stupid decisions and done a lot of stupid things. But if things hadn’t happened the way they did, I wouldn’t be where I am today. And I’m happy with my life. I have a good man, I get to travel the world, and I don’t worry about everyday bullshit.

I thought about giving a synopsis of who I am and what I’m about, but I don’t think I’m going to give it to you all in one dose. It might be too overwhelming. So when it relates to something I’m talking about, I’m going to put it out there. If you don’t like it, go read something else.
